While the cleaning methods offer no guarantees, these recommendations are the best and safest for maintaining the beauty of upholstery products. We strongly advise you to pretest a small inconspicuous area before proceeding with any cleaning method. Some pile fabrics may require brushing with a non-metallic, stiff bristle brush to restore appearance after spot cleaning. Never use bleach or products containing bleach.
Routine light vacuuming with an upholstery attachment is recommended to help extend the life of the fabric and enhance the overall appearance. Avoid placing upholstery in direct sunlight to minimize fading. Depending on the fabric pilling or crushing may occur with wear. Pilling is a natural characteristic caused by friction that occurs during normal use. Pilling involves non-structural fibers and does not affect the durability or the strength of the fabric. Please note that the application of an after-market treatment as well as exposure to pets and pet dander may cause premature wearing of fabrics.
CODE W – To prevent overall soil, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. Spot clean, using the foam only from a water-based cleaning agent such as a mild detergent or non-solvent upholstery shampoo product. Apply foam with a soft brush in a circular motion. Vacuum when dry. Pre-test a small area before proceeding. Use a professional furniture cleaning service when an overall soiled condition has been reached.
CODE S – To prevent overall soil, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. Spot clean, using a mild water-free solvent or dry-cleaning product. Clean only in a well-ventilated room and avoid any product containing Carbon Tetrachloride which is highly toxic. Pre-test a small area before proceeding. Cleaning by a professional furniture service is recommended.
CODE SW - To prevent overall soil, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. Spot clean, with a mild-solvent, and upholstery shampoo or the foam from a mild detergent. CODE WS - To prevent overall soil, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. For water-based stains use water-based cleaning agent only – do not use solvents. For oil-based stains, use solvent cleaner.
CODE X – Clean this fabric only by vacuuming or light brushing to prevent accumulation of dust or grime. Water-based foam cleaners or solvent-based cleaning agents of any kind may cause excessive shrinking, staining, or distortion of the surface pile and, therefore, should not be used.

CAUTION! Never use window cleaner, ammonia products, or other chemical sprays on acrylic! To clean acrylic begin by gently blowing away any loose dust or dirt from the acrylic surface. Use only a very soft damp cloth when cleaning acrylic surfaces. It is possible to scratch acrylic, so NEVER use any scouring compounds or chemical cleaners such as Windex or other glass cleaners (even if they are environmentally friendly, organic or non-scented). A solution of mild soap or detergent and warm water can be used safely, using a soft cloth. They type of cloth you use will make a difference. The ideal cloth is nonabrasive, absorbent, and lint free. Never use the same cloth that you use to clean other household items. It can retain dirt, grit, and chemical residues that may harm acrylic items. Using a new or separate cloth for your acrylic care is recommended. Rinse well with clear, clean water and blot dry with a chamois, damp cellulose sponge or microfiber cloth to prevent water spotting.
